I can't really answer that however - I've had success with all of them and then far, winning iwthin a couple of games or with some thinking on my strategy before trying. Y'all do need to accept something in mind before going upwardly to Emperor and higher, while lower difficulty it feels yous tin do almost anything you desire and succeed so long as you get an early edge. I think Venice is easiest for when you want to motion Upwardly in difficulty. I plan to accept them every bit my beginning Civ for winning on Deity. I oasis't played Polynesia, Indonesia, or Sweden however because they do expect more hard to take advantage of ... information technology'd be hard for me to give upwardly those great people for Sweden's bonus!

Thanks for the tip! I'll get around to roofing Polynesia in the Guide somewhen! It sounds like they will play similarly to other Civs that rely on Terrain Improvements to get a boost to their Civilisation. Once you are out of Vanilla, you'll demand Hotels/Airports to convert that Civilisation to Tourism. Hope the Guide is helpful to y'all in learning the new mechanics :)

Yep, culture will protect from Tourism causing that. Anything that improves culture will help. If information technology's subsequently in a game, using keen writers to write political treatise will crusade a boost in culture that will help overcome that. Shut downward open up borders with that Civ and any merchandise routes as well, for those volition increase the other Civ'due south tourism output on your Civ.
Look at the Guide to Cultural Victory to better empathise how tourism overcomes culture.
